The mechanism of my Universal Interface is suddenly locked – why and what can I do?Updated a month ago
In rare cases, the mechanism of the Universal Interface may accidentally be “over-rotated.” This usually happens if the interface is not positioned completely flush (flat) on the SP-Connect mount during installation and slightly slips while being locked.
In this situation, the mechanism remains in the locked position without being properly seated on a mount. As a result, the Universal Interface can no longer be attached to a mount.
Solution: Reset the mechanism using the SPC+ Tool
You can easily return the mechanism to its correct position using the included SPC+ Tool.
Important:
Make sure your smartphone is inside the Phone Case before using the SPC+ Tool.
Step-by-step instructions
1) Stabilize
Hold the Phone Case firmly with one hand.
2) Insert the tool correctly
Insert the SPC+ Tool fully and flush into the mechanism. Make sure it is simultaneously positioned against two diagonally opposite corners.
3) Rotate the mechanism back
Turn the mechanism back by 90 degrees using the SPC+ Tool. Slightly increased force may be required – this is normal.
How to prevent accidental blocking
When attaching the Universal Interface, always ensure that it is positioned completely flush on the mount interface before turning it into the locked position. This prevents slipping and over-rotating the mechanism.
