How is the Brake Mount attached to the brake fluid reservoir?Updated 2 months ago

The SP Connect Brake Mount is mounted directly onto the brake fluid reservoir cover of your motorcycle, scooter, or maxi-scooter.

For installation, the existing screws of the brake fluid reservoir cover are replaced with the stainless steel screws included with the Brake Mount.


Step-by-step instructions

1. Remove the existing screws

  • Remove the screws from the cover of your brake fluid reservoir.

2. Position the Brake Mount

  • Place the Brake Mount onto the brake fluid reservoir cover.
  • Align the slots of the mount with the threaded holes of the reservoir.

3. Secure the Brake Mount

  • Depending on your vehicle model, use the supplied M4 × 16 mm or M4 × 18 mm Torx screws.
  • Insert the appropriate screws and tighten them evenly.
  • Use the torque specified by the vehicle manufacturer. You can find this information in the owner's manual or service manual of your vehicle. If you do not know the specified torque, please contact the vehicle manufacturer or a qualified workshop.

4. Adjust the extension arm

  • Loosen the central screw on the extension arm.
  • Move the extension arm into the desired position to position your smartphone optimally within your field of view.
  • Then tighten the central screw to a torque of 5 Nm.

Check the installation

  • Make sure the Brake Mount is securely mounted on the brake fluid reservoir.
  • Check that both the mounting screws and the extension arm screw are securely tightened.
  • Before every ride, check that the mount and your smartphone are securely attached.
