How do I install the Charging Anti Vibration Module on my SP Connect mount?Updated 4 months ago
The installation method for the SP-Connect Charging Anti Vibration Module depends on the mount you are using.
For most mounts, the Charging Anti Vibration Module is installed directly in place of the mounting head. For certain mounts, the included SP-Connect Sprocket Adapter is also required.
Direct Installation
For the following mounts, the existing mounting head is replaced directly by the Charging Anti Vibration Module:
- Moto Mount Pro
- Moto Mount LT
- Moto Stem Mount
- Moto Stem Mount Pro
- Bar Clamp Mount Pro
- Clutch Mount Pro
- Mirror Mount Pro
- GPS Cradle Mount
- Moto Mount 3D
- Moto Mount 3D 1 1/2"
- Ballhead Mount Pro
- Crossbar Mount Pro
Step-by-step installation
- Remove the existing mounting head and fastening screw from the mount.
- The sprocket interface underneath will remain visible.
- Place the Charging Anti Vibration Module onto the sprocket interface.
- Secure the module using the supplied M5 x 16 mm screw.
- Tighten the screw to a torque of 5 Nm.
- Connect the Charging Anti Vibration Module to a suitable power source.
Installation with the Sprocket Adapter
The following mounts require the included SP-Connect Sprocket Adapter:
- Mirror Mount
- Brake Mount
- Micro Bike Mount
- Universal Bike Mount (without extension arm)
The Sprocket Adapter is included with the Charging Anti Vibration Module.
Step-by-step installation
- Remove the mounting head from the mount.
- For the Universal Bike Mount, remove the extension arm and the connector between the clamp and the arm.
- Place the Sprocket Adapter onto the exposed sprocket interface of the mount.
- Mount the Charging Anti Vibration Module onto the Sprocket Adapter.
- Secure the module using the supplied M5 x 20 mm screw.
- Tighten the screw to a torque of 1.2 Nm.
- Connect the Charging Anti Vibration Module to a suitable power source.
