In general, there is no need to worry about this — provided the Universal Interface is installed and used correctly.

The Universal Interface uses an original 3M high-performance adhesive that is specifically designed for long-term durability and high load resistance. 3M industrial adhesives are widely used in areas such as the automotive industry, electronics, and industrial applications, and are engineered to maintain strong bonding performance over many years, even when exposed to vibration, temperature changes, and everyday use.

The Universal Interface is our longest-standing universal mounting solution and has been successfully used by countless satisfied customers worldwide for many years.

However, it is important that the adapter is attached to the flat and smooth back of a third-party phone case. This ensures that the adhesive surface can bond properly.

When installing the Universal Interface, the following points should be considered:

• You need a smooth surface of at least 55 mm × 65 mm to attach the Universal Interface.

• The surface should be thoroughly cleaned with the included alcohol wipe before installation.

• After positioning, the adhesive mount should be pressed firmly down for at least 30 seconds.

• Since the adhesive mount cannot be repositioned, make sure to carefully align the adapter before attaching it.

• After attaching it, depending on the temperature, the adapter should only be fully loaded after several hours.

If these steps are followed, the 3M adhesive provides a very durable and reliable bond, allowing the Universal Interface to be used safely for many years.
