What do I need to connect the Charging Anti Vibration Module directly to my motorcycle battery?Updated 2 months ago

To connect the SP Connect Charging Anti Vibration Module directly to your motorcycle battery, you need the SP Connect Cable 12V DC.

Why is the Cable 12V DC required?

The included SP Connect Cable USB-C is designed exclusively for connection to a suitable USB power source.

  • It does not contain a voltage converter.
  • It cannot convert the motorcycle's electrical system voltage to the voltage required by the Charging Anti Vibration Module.
  • The Cable 12V DC is therefore required for a direct connection to the motorcycle battery.

We recommend connecting the Cable 12V DC to a switched ignition power source.

  • The power supply is automatically interrupted when the ignition is switched off.
  • This prevents unnecessary power consumption while the motorcycle is parked.
  • This helps prevent the motorcycle battery from being drained.

Summary

To connect the Charging Anti Vibration Module directly to a motorcycle battery, you need the SP Connect Cable 12V DC. The included USB-C cable is not suitable for this purpose because it does not provide the required voltage conversion. For safe operation and to avoid unnecessary battery drain, we recommend connecting it to a switched ignition power source.
