What do I need to connect the Charging Anti Vibration Module directly to my motorcycle battery?Updated 4 months ago
To connect the SP-Connect Charging Anti Vibration Module directly to your motorcycle battery, you require the SP-Connect Cable 12V DC.
Why is the Cable 12V DC required?
The included SP-Connect Cable USB-C is designed exclusively for connection to a suitable USB power source.
- It does not contain a voltage converter.
- It cannot convert your motorcycle's battery voltage to the voltage required by the Charging Anti Vibration Module.
- For direct connection to a motorcycle battery, the Cable 12V DC is required.
Recommended Installation
We recommend connecting the Cable 12V DC to a switched power source (ignition-controlled power).
- Power is automatically disconnected when the ignition is turned off.
- This prevents battery drain while the motorcycle is parked.
- Your motorcycle battery is protected from unnecessary discharge.
Summary
To connect the Charging Anti Vibration Module directly to a motorcycle battery, you need the SP Connect Cable 12V DC. The included USB-C cable is not suitable for this purpose because it does not provide voltage conversion. For safe operation and to protect your battery, we recommend connecting the cable to an ignition-controlled power source.
