What are the power requirements of the Universal Charging Phone Clamp?Updated a month ago
The SP Connect Universal Charging Phone Clamp requires a power supply of at least 5 V / 2 A (minimum 10 W) for reliable operation.
Minimum requirements
For regular operation of the Universal Charging Phone Clamp, the power source should provide at least:
- 5 V / 2 A
- 10 W total power
If the power source does not meet these requirements, charging performance may be reduced or the charging process may be interrupted.
Requirements for fast charging
For wireless charging at 7.5 W or 10 W, the power source should support at least:
- 9 V / 1.67 A
- 15 W total power
The actual charging performance also depends on the smartphone being used and the charging protocols it supports.
Recommended power sources
For the best possible charging performance, we recommend using a power source that supports:
- Quick Charge (QC 2.0 / 3.0 / 4.0)
- USB-C Power Delivery (PD)
These standards provide the voltage and current required for optimal charging performance of the Universal Charging Phone Clamp.
Summary
The Universal Charging Phone Clamp requires at least 5 V / 2 A (10 W) for reliable operation. For optimal wireless charging performance, we recommend a power source with at least 15 W and support for Quick Charge or USB-C Power Delivery.
