The mechanism of my SP Connect Wireless Powerbank 5000mAh is locked. Why did this happen and what can I do?Updated 3 months ago
In rare cases, the Twist-to-Lock mechanism of the SP-Connect Wireless Powerbank 5000mAh can accidentally be rotated beyond its intended position. This usually happens if the powerbank is not placed completely flat onto an SP Connect mount before being rotated into the locked position.
In this situation, the mechanism remains in the locked position without being properly attached to a mount. As a result, the Wireless Powerbank 5000mAh can no longer be mounted onto an SP Connect mount.
Solution: Reset the mechanism using the SPC+ Tool
You can easily return the mechanism to its correct position using the included SPC+ Tool.
Step-by-step instructions
- Place the powerbank on a flat surface with the Twist-to-Lock mechanism facing upward and hold it securely with one hand.
- Insert the SPC+ Tool: Fully insert the SPC+ Tool into the mechanism, making sure it sits flat and engages two diagonally opposite corners at the same time.
- Rotate the mechanism back: Turn the mechanism back by 90° using the SPC+ Tool. Some additional force may be required—this is normal.

How to prevent the mechanism from locking
Always make sure the Wireless Powerbank 5000mAh is positioned completely flat on the mount before rotating it into the locked position. This helps prevent slipping and accidental over-rotation of the mechanism.
