The mechanism of my Phone Case will not lock. What can I do?Updated 10 days ago

A certain amount of resistance when locking the SP Connect mechanism is normal and part of its design. The resistance may feel considerably stronger if you try to rotate the mechanism without the Phone Case being attached to an installed SP Connect mount.

To check whether your SP Connect Phone Case is functioning correctly, please test it as described below.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Install your SP Connect mount securely on the intended bicycle, motorcycle, car or other application. A stable installation is required to properly test the locking mechanism.
  2. Insert your smartphone into the Phone Case.
  3. Place the Phone Case fully and flat onto the mounting head.
  4. Rotate the Phone Case by 90° into the locking position.

Testing the Phone Case on a securely installed mount provides the necessary pressure and leverage to properly operate the mechanism.

If the Phone Case still cannot be locked when tested correctly on an installed SP Connect mount, there may be a rare defect affecting the mechanism.
