The clearance between the arm and clamp is too low on my motorcycle. What can I do?Updated 2 months ago

The SP Connect Moto Mount Pro includes two height adapters:

  • 5 mm height adapter (pre-installed)
  • 10 mm height adapter (included)

The Moto Mount Pro comes with the 5 mm height adapter pre-installed. If the clearance between the clamp and the arm is too small due to the handlebar shape, clamp blocks or cables, you can simply replace the pre-installed height adapter with the included 10 mm height adapter. This increases the distance between the clamp and arm and provides additional clearance for secure installation.

Step-by-step instructions

1. Remove the arm

  • Loosen the arm mounting screw and remove the arm from the clamp.

2. Replace the height adapter

  • Remove the pre-installed 5 mm height adapter.
  • Insert the included 10 mm height adapter.

3. Reinstall the arm

  • Attach the arm to the clamp again.
  • Tighten the screw to the torque specified in the manual.

Check the fit

  • Make sure the arm has sufficient clearance from clamp blocks, cables and other components.
  • Before every ride, check that the screw connection is securely tightened.

Summary

The SP Connect Moto Mount Pro includes a 5 mm height adapter (pre-installed) and a 10 mm height adapter. If the standard clearance is not sufficient for your installation, the 5 mm height adapter can simply be replaced with the 10 mm version. This provides additional clearance between the clamp and arm.
