My Charging Universal Phone Clamp charges only intermittently or not at all. What can I do?Updated 2 months ago
If your Charging Universal Phone Clamp is connected but your smartphone charges only intermittently or not at all, the cause is usually related to the power source, cable, or the connection/charging unit.
Step 1: Check all connections
- The Charging Universal Phone Clamp requires a minimum input power of 5 V / 2 A. Please ensure that the power source used can reliably provide this output.
Check that the USB port, the cable, and the connector on the Charging Module are firmly and fully plugged in.
Step 2: Perform a household test
Test the Charging Universal Phone Clamp independently of your motorcycle using a USB power adapter connected to a household wall outlet.
Use a power source that provides at least 5 V / 2 A.
If possible, do not use a USB port on a PC, TV, or vehicle—use a dedicated USB power adapter instead.
Step 3: Cross-check cable and power source
Test the cable you are using with another device to verify proper power flow.
Test the Charging Universal Phone Clamp with a different USB or USB-C cable.
Additionally, test with a different USB power adapter (at least 5 V / 2 A or higher).
