Is the Moto Mount Pro compatible with the Rotation Module?Updated 2 months ago
Yes. The SP Connect Moto Mount Pro is fully compatible with the SP Connect Rotation Module.
Please note: The Rotation Module is not included with the Moto Mount Pro and must be purchased separately.
We recommend fully installing the Moto Mount Pro on your motorcycle first and then installing the Rotation Module.
Option 1: Installation on the Moto Mount Pro with arm
If you use the Moto Mount Pro with the standard arm, install the Rotation Module as follows:
1. Remove the mounting head
- Loosen the Allen screw securing the mounting head to the Moto Mount Pro using the included Allen key.
- Completely remove the existing mounting head from the Moto Mount Pro.
2. Install the Rotation Module
- Install the Rotation Module together with the mounting head of the Moto Mount Pro.
- Follow the instructions included with the Rotation Module (illustration V2).
3. Secure the components
- Tighten all screws to a torque of 3 Nm.
Option 2: Installation directly on the mounting clamp (without arm)
If you want to use the Moto Mount Pro without the arm, you can use the SP Connect Sprocket Adapter already included with the Moto Mount Pro.
1. Install the Moto Mount Pro
- First, fully install the Moto Mount Pro on your motorcycle.
2. Remove the arm
- Loosen the screw connecting the arm to the mounting clamp.
- Then completely remove the arm, the screw and the height adapter underneath.
3. Install the Sprocket Adapter
- Place the SP Connect Sprocket Adapter included with the Moto Mount Pro onto the now exposed sprocket ring.
4. Install the Rotation Module
- Insert the Rotation Module into the sprocket mount of the Sprocket Adapter.
- Follow the instructions included with the Rotation Module (illustration V2).
- Tighten the screws to a torque of 3 Nm.
Check the fit
- Make sure that all components are securely installed.
- Before use, check that none of the components can move.
Summary
The SP Connect Moto Mount Pro is fully compatible with the SP Connect Rotation Module. When using the standard arm, the Rotation Module is installed between the mount and the mounting head. If the Moto Mount Pro is used without the arm, the Rotation Module is installed directly on the mounting clamp using the SP Connect Sprocket Adapter already included.
