Is the Moto Mount 3D compatible with the Rotation Module?Updated 2 months ago
Yes. The SP Connect Moto Mount 3D is fully compatible with the SP Connect Rotation Module.
Please note: The Rotation Module is not included in the scope of delivery of the Moto Mount 3D and must be purchased separately.
We recommend fully installing the Moto Mount 3D on your motorcycle first and installing the Rotation Module afterwards.
Option 1: Installation on the Moto Mount 3D with arm
If you use the Moto Mount 3D with the standard arm, install the Rotation Module as follows:
1. Remove the mount head
- Loosen the Allen screw securing the mount head to the Moto Mount 3D using the included Allen key.
- Completely remove the existing mount head from the Moto Mount 3D.
2. Install the Rotation Module
- Install the Rotation Module together with the mount head of the Moto Mount 3D.
- Follow the instructions included with the Rotation Module (illustration V2).
3. Secure the components
- Tighten all screws to a torque of 3 Nm.
Option 2: Installation directly on the clamp (without arm)
If you want to use the Moto Mount 3D without the arm, you will additionally need an SP Connect Sprocket Adapter.
Please note: The Sprocket Adapter is not included in the scope of delivery of the Moto Mount 3D or Rotation Module. However, it is included with the Anti Vibration Module and Charging Anti Vibration Module and can alternatively be purchased separately.
1. Install the Moto Mount 3D
- First, fully install the Moto Mount 3D on your motorcycle.
2. Remove the arm
- Loosen the screw connecting the arm to the clamp.
- Completely remove the arm, screw and height adapter underneath.
3. Install the Sprocket Adapter
- Place the SP Connect Sprocket Adapter onto the now exposed sprocket ring of the clamp.
4. Install the Rotation Module
- Insert the Rotation Module into the sprocket mount of the Sprocket Adapter.
- Follow the instructions included with the Rotation Module (illustration V2).
- Tighten the screws to a torque of 3 Nm.
Check for secure fit
- Make sure that all components are securely installed.
- Before use, check that none of the components can move or come loose.
Summary
The SP Connect Moto Mount 3D is fully compatible with the SP Connect Rotation Module. When using the standard arm, the Rotation Module is installed between the arm and the mount head.
