You can easily upgrade your existing SP-Connect SPC Universal Bike Mount to the current system with round rails (SPC+) – without replacing the entire mount.
Only the mount head (Head) needs to be replaced, while the rest of the mount remains unchanged.
For the upgrade, you will need the following item:
Step-by-step instructions
1. Remove the existing SPC head (straight rails)
- Loosen the Allen screw on the mount head using the included Allen key
- Remove the existing SPC head completely from the mount
2. Insert the new SPC+ head
- Insert the Head SPC+ Brake, Micro Bike, Uni Bike, Mirror into the mount interface
- Ensure that the head sits correctly and flush
3. Secure the head
- Reinsert the Allen screw
- Tighten the screw evenly
- Use a torque of 2 Nm to ensure a safe and proper installation
Check installation
- Make sure the new head is firmly mounted and does not move
- Check before use that all screws are properly tightened
Result
After the upgrade, you will be using the current SPC+ system with round rails and benefit from improved stability and optimized usability.
