You can easily upgrade your existing SP-Connect SPC Micro Bike Mount to the current with rounded rails (SPC+) – without having to replace the entire mount.
Only the mounting head needs to be replaced, while the rest of the mount remains unchanged.
For the upgrade, you will need the following item:
Please note: The Head SPC+ Brake, Micro Bike, Uni Bike, Mirror is not included with the Micro Bike Mount and must be purchased separately.
Step-by-step instructions
1. Remove the existing SPC head (straight rails)
- Loosen the Allen screw on the mounting head using the included Allen key of the Micro Bike Mount
- Remove the existing SPC head completely from the mount
2. Install the new SPC+ head
- Place the Head SPC+ Brake, Micro Bike, Uni Bike, Mirror onto the mount
- Make sure the head sits correctly and flush
3. Secure the head
- Reinsert the Allen screw
- Tighten the screw evenly
- Use a torque of 2 Nm to ensure a safe and proper installation
Check installation
- Ensure that the new head is firmly mounted and does not move
- Check before use that all screws are properly tightened
Result
After the upgrade, you will be using the latest SPC+ system with rounded rails and benefit from its improved functionality.
