You can easily upgrade your SP Connect SPC Handlebar Mount Pro MTB to the current system with rounded rails (SPC+) – without having to replace the entire mount.
Only the mounting head needs to be replaced; the rest of the mount remains the same.
For the upgrade, you will need the following item:
Step-by-step instructions
1. Remove the existing SPC head (straight rails)
- Loosen the Allen screw on the mounting head using the included Allen key of the Handlebar Mount Pro MTB
- Completely remove the existing SPC head from the mount
2. Install the new SPC+ head (rounded rails)
- Insert the Head SPC+ Moto Pro (MTB) into the mount
- Ensure that the head sits correctly and flush
3. Secure the head
- Reinsert the Allen screw
- Tighten the screw evenly
- Use a torque of 2 Nm to ensure safe and proper installation
Check fit
- Make sure the new head is firmly mounted and does not move
- Before use, check that all screws are properly tightened

After the upgrade, you are using the latest SPC+ system with rounded rails and benefit from improved functionality.
