How is the voltage of the Bosch e-bike system adapted by the Bosch LPP E-Bike Cable?Updated 3 months ago

The SP-Connect Bosch LPP E-Bike Cable features an integrated voltage converter. It conditions the power supplied by the Low Power Port (LPP) or, alternatively, the High Power Port (HPP) of a compatible Bosch e-bike drive system to power compatible SP Connect charging solutions.

How does the power supply work?

The Bosch LPP E-Bike Cable connects directly to the Low Power Port (LPP) of a compatible Bosch e-bike drive system. If the Low Power Port is already in use, the High Power Port (HPP) can be used instead. The integrated voltage converter conditions the output voltage for compatible SP Connect charging solutions.

When used together with the SP-Connect Charging Module, the SP-Connect Charging Anti Vibration Module, or the SP-Connect Universal Charging Phone Clamp, your smartphone receives the required charging voltage safely and reliably, regardless of the Bosch e-bike system voltage.

Why are there different voltage specifications?

The technical specifications refer to different parts of the system:

  • Bosch e-bike drive system: Provides the output voltage via the Low Power Port (LPP) or High Power Port (HPP).
  • Bosch LPP E-Bike Cable: Conditions this voltage using its integrated voltage converter for the SP Connect charging solution.
  • Charging Module, Charging Anti Vibration Module, or SP Connect Universal Charging Phone Clamp: Supplies your smartphone with the required charging voltage.

Summary

The SP Connect Bosch LPP E-Bike Cable features an integrated voltage converter that conditions the output voltage from the Low Power Port (LPP) or, alternatively, the High Power Port (HPP) of a compatible Bosch e-bike drive system for compatible SP Connect charging solutions. Together, the cable and charging solution ensure that your smartphone receives a safe and reliable charging voltage.
