Step-by-step instructions
1. Select the appropriate Spacing Cone
- Select the plastic spacer cone included in the package that match the inner diameter of your motorcycle's steering stem.
- The included spacer cones allow installation in steering stems with diameters from 12 mm to 30 mm.
2. Prepare the spacer sleeves
- Fit the two halves of the selected spacer cone together.
- Then insert the mounting screw of the Moto Stem Mount through the center hole of the assembled spacer cone.
3. Install the locking nut
- Screw the gold locking nut onto the mounting screw.
- Make sure that all three wings of the locking nut are fully seated in the corresponding recesses of the spacer sleeve.
4. Install the Safety Clip
- Slide the C-shaped Safety Clip into the designated groove at the lower end of the mounting screw.
5. Insert the mount
- Insert the Moto Stem Mount with the assembled spacer cones into the steering stem of your motorcycle.
6. Position the mount
- Position the extension arm as desired so that your smartphone can be optimally positioned within your field of view.
7. Secure the mount
- Tighten the central mounting screw to a torque of 5 Nm.
- This expands the spacer cone against the inner wall of the steering stem and securely fixes the Moto Stem Mount in place.
Check the installation
- Make sure that the Moto Stem Mount is firmly seated in the steering stem and cannot move.
- Then check that all screws are securely tightened.
- Check that the mount is securely installed before every ride.
