How is the Micro Stem Mount mounted to the bike stem?Updated 2 months ago
The SP-Connect Micro Stem Mount is mounted directly to your bike’s stem – replacing the existing stem cap (Ahead cap).
Step-by-step instructions
1. Remove stem cap
- Loosen the central bolt of your current stem cap
- Remove the cap completely from the stem
2. Install Micro Stem Mount
- Place the Micro Stem Mount onto the opening of the stem
3. Secure the mount
- Insert the M6 x 35 mm screw into the stem and fasten the Micro Stem Mount
- Tighten the screw with a torque of 2.5 Nm
Important note
- Only loosen the central stem cap bolt
- Do not loosen the side bolts on the stem
- These secure the stem to the steerer tube and are safety-relevant
- For headset adjustments, please follow the bike manufacturer’s instructions
Check installation
- Make sure the Micro Stem Mount is securely mounted
- Check that nothing moves before riding
