How is the Ballhead Mount Pro attached to a RAM® mount?Updated 2 months ago

The SP Connect Ballhead Mount Pro is designed for installation on a RAM® mount with a standard 1" ball socket (25.4 mm).

The Ballhead Mount Pro is simply inserted into the clamping arm of the RAM® mount and then secured in the desired position.

Step-by-step instructions

1. Install the RAM® mount

  • Install your RAM® mount on your motorcycle according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Make sure that all components are firmly and securely installed.

2. Open the clamping arm

  • Loosen the clamping lever or adjustment knob on your RAM® mount.
  • Open the clamping arm far enough so that the ball socket is accessible.

3. Insert the Ballhead Mount Pro

  • Insert the 1" ball (25.4 mm) of the Ballhead Mount Pro into the ball socket of the RAM® mount.
  • Position the Ballhead Mount Pro at the desired angle.

4. Tighten the clamping arm

  • Tighten the clamping lever or adjustment knob of the RAM® mount until the Ballhead Mount Pro is securely fixed in position.

Check the installation

  • Make sure that the Ballhead Mount Pro can no longer move or rotate unintentionally.
  • Before every ride, check that both the RAM® mount and the Ballhead Mount Pro are securely attached.
