How is the Anti Vibration Module attached to an SP Connect mount?Updated 2 months ago

The SP Connect Anti Vibration Module is installed on most SP Connect mounts using the same principle: the existing mounting head of the mount is replaced with the Anti Vibration Module.

In most cases, you simply need to unscrew the mounting head, insert the Anti Vibration Module into the exposed sprocket mount and then secure it with the supplied M5 × 16 mm screw.

Standard installation

On most SP Connect motorcycle and bicycle mounts, the Anti Vibration Module is installed directly onto the existing sprocket mount.

  1. Unscrew the existing mounting head from the mount.
  2. Insert the Anti Vibration Module into the exposed sprocket mount.
  3. Secure the module with the supplied M5 × 16 mm screw.
  4. Tighten the screw to a torque of 5 Nm.

Exceptions – installation with Sprocket Adapter

For some SP Connect mounts, the SP Connect Sprocket Adapter included with the Anti Vibration Module is additionally required.

This applies to the following mounts:

For these mounts, first remove the existing mounting head. Then place the SP Connect Sprocket Adapter onto the exposed sprocket mount. The Anti Vibration Module is then inserted into the Sprocket Adapter and secured with the supplied M5 × 16 mm screw according to the installation instructions.

Important note

After installation, make sure that the Anti Vibration Module is securely attached. You should also check that the module and your smartphone are securely mounted before every ride.

Summary

On most SP Connect mounts, the Anti Vibration Module directly replaces the existing mounting head. Only certain mounts additionally require the supplied SP Connect Sprocket Adapter. After installation, the Anti Vibration Module is securely fastened using the supplied M5 × 16 mm screw and a torque of 5 Nm.
