No. The Universal Phone Clamp Max does not feature a magnetic function. The smartphone is held securely by a mechanical clamping mechanism.
The connection between the Phone Clamp and the mount is made using the patented Twist-to-Lock system:
The mechanism is placed onto the mount interface and then rotated by 90 degrees until it is securely locked in position.
Please note that, due to the lack of a magnetic function, the Universal Phone Clamp is not compatible with the following SP-Connect magnetic mounts:
