Yes, the Universal Interface can also be used with a tablet. We have already had very good experiences using the Universal Interface in combination with tablets – both at home and in the car.
However, it is important that you position the Universal Interface on a flat and smooth surface. We therefore recommend using a third-party tablet case with a flat and smooth back to ensure optimal adhesion.
When attaching the Universal Interface, please note the following points:
- You need a smooth surface of at least 55 mm × 65 mm to attach the Universal Interface.
- The surface should be thoroughly cleaned with the included alcohol wipe before installation.
- After positioning, you should press the adhesive mount firmly down for at least 30 seconds.
- Since the adhesive mount cannot be repositioned, make sure to carefully align the adapter before attaching it.
- After attaching it, depending on the temperature, you should only fully load the adapter after several hours.
Once the Universal Interface is attached, you can connect it to SP-Connect mounts using the Twist-To-Lock system. Place the mechanism of the Universal Interface flat (fully) onto the mount interface and then rotate the Universal Interface or the tablet 90° into the locked position. Your tablet will then be securely attached to the SP-Connect mount.
Please note: When used with tablets, the Universal Interface is not compatible with SP-Connect mounts that work exclusively with magnetic attachment.
