Yes. The SP Connect Moto Mount 3D 1½″ can also be used without the arm. To do this, the SP Connect Sprocket Adapter is mounted directly onto the clamp. This allows the mounting head to sit particularly compact and close to the handlebar.
Using only the clamp is also ideal for precisely centering your smartphone on the handlebar.
Please note: The SP Connect Sprocket Adapter is not included with the Moto Mount 3D 1½″ and must be purchased separately if required.
Step-by-step instructions
1. Remove the arm from the clamp
- Loosen the screw securing the arm to the clamp.
- Remove the arm from the clamp.
- Also remove the height adapter underneath.
2. Install the Sprocket Adapter
- Place the Sprocket Adapter onto the toothed ring of the clamp.
3. Attach the mounting head
- Insert the mounting head into the Sprocket Adapter.
- Tighten the mounting head to a torque of 3 Nm.
Check the installation
- Make sure the mounting head is securely screwed to the Sprocket Adapter.
- Before every ride, check that the mounting head cannot rotate or come loose.
