Yes. The SP Connect GPS Cradle Mount can also be used without the extension arm.
To do this, the extension arm is removed and the included SP Connect Sprocket Adapter is mounted directly onto the mounting sprocket underneath. The mounting head from the extension arm is then attached to the Sprocket Adapter.
Step-by-step instructions
1. Remove the extension arm
- Loosen the center screw of the extension arm.
- Remove the extension arm completely from the GPS Cradle Mount.
2. Install the Sprocket Adapter
- Place the included SP Connect Sprocket Adapter onto the exposed mounting sprocket.
3. Install the mounting head
- Unscrew the SP Connect mounting head from the extension arm.
- Insert the mounting head into the Sprocket Adapter.
- Secure the mounting head with the screw and tighten it to a torque of 3 Nm.
Check the fit
- Make sure that the Sprocket Adapter and mounting head are securely installed.
