Changing your smartphone orientation from portrait to landscape or vice versa is not done via the SP Connect Phone Case, Phone Case Xtreme or Design Edition Phone Cases themselves.
The Twist-to-Lock mechanism on the back of the Phone Cases is designed to securely attach and lock your smartphone onto the respective SP Connect mount. The desired smartphone orientation is adjusted directly on the mount.
How do I change the orientation of my smartphone?
On most SP Connect mounts, the mounting head can be positioned 360° in 6° increments. Depending on the mount, this allows you to use your smartphone in either portrait or landscape orientation.
Step-by-step instructions
- Loosen the screw on the mounting head using the appropriate tool.
- Rotate the mounting head to the desired position.
- Securely tighten the screw again.
Can I change the orientation without tools?
For tool-free repositioning, you can use the Rotation Module with compatible mounts. You can find an overview of compatible mounts in our FAQ “Which SP Connect mounts are compatible with the Rotation Module?”.
The Universal Mount also allows you to adjust your smartphone orientation without tools.
Are there any exceptions?
Depending on the design of the mount you are using, the available orientation options may vary:
- Handlebar Mount Pro and Stem Mount Pro: The smartphone mount can be positioned vertically or horizontally.
- Aero Mount: The smartphone orientation cannot be freely adjusted via a lockable angle adjustment.
