No. An alternative orientation of the smartphone is generally not possible when using the SP Connect Universal Charging Phone Clamp. The smartphone cannot be rotated from portrait to landscape orientation or vice versa. The mechanism of the Universal Charging Phone Clamp is designed exclusively for locking and unlocking the device on an SP Connect mount.
You adjust the orientation directly on the mount:
The mounting head of every SP Connect mount can be locked in a full 360° rotation in precise 6° increments.
How to adjust it:
Loosen the screw using the included tool.
Rotate the mount to the desired position.
Tighten the screw again.
This allows you to use your smartphone in both portrait and landscape orientation.
For tool-free repositioning, we recommend the Rotation Module, which is compatible with selected SP Connect mounts.
The Universal Mount can also be adjusted without tools.
Please note the following exceptions:
Handlebar Mount Pro / Stem Mount Pro: Only vertical or horizontal positioning is possible.
Aero Mount: No locking positions available.
