No. With SP Connect mounts that use the SP Connect Phone Case Xtreme via the Twist-to-Lock system, the orientation of the smartphone cannot be changed by rotating the Phone Case Xtreme itself.
The Twist-to-Lock mechanism is designed exclusively for locking and unlocking the Phone Case Xtreme. The case is placed flat onto the mounting head and rotated by 90° into the locking position. Rotating it further will unlock it from the mount rather than change its orientation.
How can I change between portrait and landscape orientation?
With most SP Connect Twist-to-Lock mounts, the orientation is adjusted directly on the mounting head. The mounting head can be rotated through 360° and adjusted in 6° increments.
Step-by-step instructions
- Loosen the mounting-head screw using the included tool.
- Rotate the mounting head to the desired position.
- Tighten the screw again.
This allows you to set your smartphone to the desired portrait or landscape orientation before attaching the Phone Case Xtreme.
