Can I change the orientation of my smartphone on the SP-Connect mount via the Phone Case?Updated 17 days ago

With SP Connect mounts that use the SP Connect Phone Case with the patented Twist-to-Lock system, it is not possible to change the orientation of the smartphone via the case itself.

To attach the device, the mechanism of the Phone Case is placed onto the mount interface and then rotated 90° into the locked position. Any further rotation—regardless of direction—will only result in unlocking the case from the mount.

The Twist-to-Lock mechanism is therefore designed exclusively for secure locking and unlocking, not for adjusting the orientation.

Switching between portrait and landscape mode (or vice versa) is not possible via the Phone Case itself.

With most SP Connect Twist-to-Lock mounts, the orientation is adjusted directly on the mount itself:
The mounting head can be rotated 360° and locked in precise 6° increments.

How to adjust the orientation:

Loosen the screw using the included tool.
Rotate the mount to the desired position.
Tighten the screw again.

This allows you to use your smartphone in both portrait and landscape orientation.

For tool-free repositioning, we recommend the Rotation Module , which is compatible with selected SP-Connect mounts .
The Universal Mount can also be adjusted without tools.

Please note the following exceptions:

Handlebar Mount Pro / Stem Mount Pro: Only vertical or horizontal positioning is possible.
Aero Mount : No locking positions available.

Please note that with SP Connect mounts that do not use the Twist-to-Lock system, but rely solely on a magnetic attachment, the orientation of your smartphone can be adjusted without tools.

With these magnetic mounts, the smartphone can be repositioned freely without releasing the mounting mechanism.
